DR. ANTHONY BROWDER
AFRICAN ORIGIN OF CIVILIZATION
Anthony T. Browder is the founder and director of IKG Cultural Resources and has devoted over 47 years to researching ancient Egyptian history, science, philosophy, and culture. Since 1980, he has traveled to Egypt 68 times and serves as director of the ASA Restoration Project, the only archaeological excavation in Egypt funded by African Americans. For 14 years, the project has excavated and restored 25th dynasty Kushite tombs on the West Bank of Luxor, producing findings with worldwide implications for understanding the relationship between ancient Egypt and Kush. His latest book, Finding Karakhamun, documents 15 years of these groundbreaking excavations and discoveries.
Browder has authored or co-authored 15 publications used in classrooms globally, shaping the way African history is studied and taught. His four decades of research affirm that ancient Africans were the architects of civilization, laying the foundations of science, religion, and philosophy that underpin humanity today. Recently appointed to Maryland Governor Wes Moore’s Commission on Middle Eastern American Affairs, Browder now has an expanded platform to share the ASA Project’s findings. Dedicated to the positive portrayal of the worldwide African experience, he also hosts The Browder File, a weekly radio show airing Wednesdays from 5–6 PM on www.wpfwfm.org.
